An Indian study has suggested air pollution could be affecting health of honey bees. Researchers observed bees collected from four sites in Bengaluru, each having different air pollution standards, for over three years. Most polluted sites had significantly less number of bees visiting flowers. Bees from such sites had arrhythmic heartbeats and were more likely to show signs of stress.
