Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray said the Centre owed the state ₹38,000 crore in GST dues. He said, "I feel the GST system has failed." He added, "I feel the Prime Minister should accept the lacunae in the GST system honestly, and it should be amended accordingly. Otherwise, we should revert to the old tax regime that will benefit the states."
