ACP Shivaji Pawar of Pune Police has been named as a recipient of the Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Investigation. He headed the Pune Police's probe into the Elgar Parishad case, which was later taken over by the National Investigation Agency. Pawar is among 121 police officers across India who have been conferred with the medal.
