Samsung, Stanford researchers jointly develop 10,000 PPI VR display

Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) and Stanford University have co-developed a high-quality display that will deliver resolutions up to 10,000 pixels per inch (PPI) for Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) devices. A mobile display might achieve only 400-500 PPI in comparison. In future, such displays also called metasurfaces can find use in solar cells and light sensors.
