A South Korean suffered loss after they placed an unspecified amount of 50,000-won (nearly ₹3,140) notes through a washing machine to eliminate COVID-19 traces. Upon approaching the bank following damage, the bank exchanged only 507 notes at half value. An official said the bank doesn't count the number of notes that it cannot exchange because the damage is too big.
