UK special forces stormed a Greek-operated oil tanker in the English Channel after seven stowaways, who boarded the ship in Nigeria, turned hostile. Defence Secretary Ben Wallace authorised the armed forces to board the tanker "to safeguard life and secure a ship that was subject to suspected hijacking", a statement said. No crew members were injured, the tanker's operator said.
