Industrialist Ratan Tata received the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences Humanitarian Award 2021 for his "exemplary leadership in community development and philanthropy". The institute shared a picture showing Tata receiving the award in presence of Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran and Grammy award-winner Ricky Kej. The award, announced in 2021, was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
