The ECI took cognizance of alleged Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violations by PM Narendra Modi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. Both BJP and Congress had raised allegations of causing hatred and divide based on religion, caste, community, or language. ECI has sought response from BJP President JP Nadda and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge by 11 am on April 29.
