₹1,000 offered for every ₹1 lakh transfer to people: Police on bank rent-out scam

Goa Police uncovered a scam in which people are lured into renting out bank accounts for commission. Cyber fraudsters are targeting unemployed youths with the offer of ₹1,000 for every ₹1 lakh transferred through their account, investigation revealed. Rented accounts are used to receive and withdraw funds and fraudsters often gain access to all necessary credentials, including signed cheques.
