₹1.21-crore robocop fired by police as it fails to do anything in 10 months in US
Police in US' Ohio fired Knightscope's K5 robot after 10 months for being useless and just rolling around a parking lot. The robot, equipped with 360-degree cameras and two-way emergency communication system, failed to arrest anyone, issue a fine or spot an incident requiring human police response. Knightscope even agreed to refund ₹57 lakh of the robot's total ₹1.21-crore cost.
