$1.5 bn Allegiant–Sun Country merger reshapes leisure flying

Allegiant Travel Company and Sun Country Airlines have announced a $1.5 billion merger to form a larger, leisure-focused low-cost airline. The combined carrier will serve 175+ cities, expand international routes, unlock operational efficiencies, and strengthen competition while offering more choice for travellers and growth for employees.
