Thirteen people were convicted on Thursday for the attack on Kerala's college professor TJ Joseph in 2010, in which they chopped off his hand after accusing him of insulting the Prophet Muhammed in a question paper. The quantum of punishment will be announced on May 5. The convicts were reportedly the members of Popular Front of India (PFI).
