$135.8 million US fighter jet crashes & explodes in California

A US military F-35B fighter jet crashed and exploded at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in California on Friday. The pilot ejected safely and was taken to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries. Deemed the “most advanced fighter jet in the world,” F-35B costs $135.8 million. It's a single-seat stealth aircraft capable of vertical take-off and landing like a helicopter.
