₹16.97 lakh crore wiped off Indian investors' wealth in 5 days

Indian equity investors became poorer by ₹16.97 lakh crore in five days of market crash as the Sensex slumped 2,290.21 points or 2.91%. Tumbling for the fifth day running on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex dropped 1,018.20 points or 1.32% to settle at a two-week low of 76,293.60. On Tuesday alone, investors' wealth was wiped out by ₹9,29,651.16 crore.
