₹160-crore fraud detected in Haryana govt-linked FDs at Kotak Mahindra Bank

The Panchkula Municipal Corporation has detected discrepancies worth nearly ₹160 crore in its fixed deposits with Kotak Mahindra Bank. Funds were allegedly diverted to fraudulent accounts, while the Haryana-based corporation was issued forged paper records. Earlier, a ₹590-crore fraud involving Haryana government-linked accounts at an IDFC First Bank branch in Chandigarh was also reported.
