₹2,87,877 crore investor wealth wiped out in hours as Sensex tumbles nearly 1,100 points

Investor wealth worth ₹2,87,877.66 crore was wiped out in six hours after Sensex tumbled nearly 1,100 points on Tuesday to near the 82,000 level. The combined market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms dipped from ₹468.52 lakh crore on Monday to ₹465.64 lakh crore, led by an IT stock sell-off. The market value has jumped ₹15.24 lakh crore so far in February.
