₹200 cr Delhi EV policy 2.0 to have 'scrappage incentives'

The Delhi government has put forth a ₹200 crore EV policy 2.0, which offers vehicle scrappage incentives. The initiative aims to systematically remove the state's ageing, polluting fleet and promote EVs. To unlock the highest brackets of financial support, buyers have to provide "Certificate of Deposit" to prove they have scrapped a Delhi-registered BS-IV or older petrol or diesel vehicle.
