₹3 lakh crore withdrawn by foreign investors in 2026: Report

Foreign portfolio investors have withdrawn ₹3.08 lakh crore from Indian equities in 2026, nearly twice the ₹1.66 lakh crore withdrawn in 2025. Rising crude oil prices, geopolitical tensions, high US bond yields, inflation concerns and the global AI investment boom have contributed to the sell-off. Domestic investors and continued foreign participation in IPOs have helped cushion the pressure.
