A 300 mm rainfall in just two hours triggered flash floods in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district. District Collector Nizamudeen A said rescue teams, including the police, fire force, revenue officials and the panchayat authorities, were carrying out evacuation operations. Notably, at least eight people have been killed in various parts of Kerala due to rain-related incidents in the last two days.
