₹39 lakh gold goes missing from bank locker in Gujarat, replaced with fake gold

Around 342.1 grams of gold jewellery worth approximately ₹39.48 lakh was stolen from lockers at a bank in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. Police said the accused, reportedly a bank employee, gained access to the keys of a safe kept inside the branch manager’s chamber, stole the gold and replaced it with fake jewellery. The incident took place on August 27.
