About 1.2 lakh authors claim stake in Anthropic copyright deal

Around 1.2 lakh authors and copyright holders are claiming a portion of a $1.5 billion class-action settlement with Anthropic over alleged unauthorised use of their books to train AI models, per a court filing in California. Claims have been submitted for 91% of the over 4.8 lakh works included in the settlement, the filing shows.
