'Alpha' opens to just ₹9 cr, records weakest opening in Spy Universe

Alia Bhatt's 'Alpha' opened to just ₹9 crore at the domestic box office, registering the weakest opening day collection in the YRF Spy Universe. Every other film in the franchise had debuted in the ₹32-57 crore range. Overseas, 'Alpha' earned only ₹5 crore, taking its worldwide opening day collection to ₹15.80 crore.
