'Ape-men' species extinct 50,000 yrs ago may still be alive: Scientist

The half-human and half-ape species, named homo floresiensis, believed to have gone extinct 50,000 years ago may still be alive and living on Indonesia's Flores Island, anthropologist Gregory Forth said. He added that the species may have survived by alienating itself from the rest of the world. The 'ape-men' species were around 3.5 feet tall with large teeth and feet.
