'Boong' director pays homage to Manipur at BAFTAs, calls state 'troubled & very much ignored'
Director Lakshmipriya Devi, while accepting the BAFTA award for Manipuri-language film 'Boong', got emotional and paid homage to Manipur. "A film that is...rooted in a place which is very troubled, very much ignored, and very unrepresented in India," said Lakshmipriya, adding, "We pray that all the internally displaced children, including the child actors in the film, regain their joy."
