School teachers ordered to count stray dogs in Delhi

Delhi government has directed teachers from both private and government schools to be deployed for counting stray dogs across the city. This task has been classified as a top priority assignment. Teachers’ associations have opposed the move, questioning why departments dealing with animal welfare have not been given the responsibility. They said this would to disturbance in students’ education.
