'Doomsday Clock' moves by 4 seconds due to US, China and Russia

'Doomsday Clock', a metaphor for how close humanity is to self-annihilation, has been moved by four seconds to 85 seconds to midnight, the closest ever to catastrophe, Bulletin of Atomic Scientists (BAS) said. The clock has been moved as US, China and Russia have become "increasingly aggressive, adversarial and nationalistic", BAS said. This accelerated a winner-takes-all competition, it added.
