Earthquakes can alter a woman’s menstrual cycle: Study

A study found that traumatic events, like earthquakes, can disrupt a woman's menstrual cycle. Of 309 participants, 44.8% reported irregular cycles after Turkey's February 2023 earthquakes. Symptoms included infrequent cycles, heavy bleeding, and bleeding between periods. Researchers also found 22.7% of women suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, showed menstrual irregularities.
