'Electronic tongue' to detect spoilt food created by US scientists

A new device named 'electronic tongue' which can detect potential issues with food freshness and safety has been developed by a team of scientists in US. The 'electronic tongue' collects information about the ions in the food, and translates it into an electrical signal that a computer can process. The study about the machine was published in the journal 'Nature'.
