Farmers march from Nashik to Mumbai to demand land rights, CM gives assurance

Thousands of farmers and tribal residents marched from Nashik towards Mumbai on Tuesday, demanding land rights and the fulfilment of long-pending issues. The protest is led by CPM-affiliated All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS). AIKS leaders said they met Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, who gave concrete assurances, including re-examining all forest rights claims at the district level.
