'Father of Indian photography' Raghu Rai passes away
Legendary Indian photographer Raghu Rai, widely regarded as the father of Indian photography, passed away aged 83 on Sunday after a two-year-long battle with cancer. Rai was a photojournalist for over five decades, and he was conferred with Padma Shri in 1972. He is known for documenting events like the 1971 Bangladesh war and the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.
