'Fire at Kumbh Mela area injures 8,' claims viral X post; UP Police fact-checks

A post by an X account, Nazneen Akhtar, claimed that eight people were injured after a fire broke out at a hospital in Maha Kumbh area in Prayagraj. The post garnered nearly 80,000 views. Subsequently, UP Police fact-checked the claim saying it was a mock drill. "Legal action is being taken by registering FIR...against those who spread rumours," it added.
