'Forbidden' planet shows unusually low-metal atmosphere

Scientists, using James Webb data, are studying exoplanet TOI-5205 b- a Jupiter-sized world orbiting a tiny red dwarf star. Its atmosphere has unusually low heavy elements, even lower than its host star, defying planet-formation theories. Researchers also found methane, hydrogen sulphide and signs heavier materials may have sunk deep inside, making it a rare "forbidden" planet.
