'Gender equality among elites is not feminism': Geeta Ramaseshan

Elaborating on her definition of feminism, a renowned Indian lawyer, Geeta Ramaseshan, said, "If a movement or policy only benefits urban, upper-caste, majority or financially secure women, it is not feminism. It is merely elite advocacy." She believes that it is the recognition that true equality cannot be achieved by solving for the most privileged.
