'Ghost lake' in California, that disappeared 130 years ago, submerges 94,000-acre farmland

Tulare Lake in US' California, also called 'ghost lake' after it disappeared about 130 years ago due to colonial-era drainage for agriculture, has returned to the San Joaquin Valley. Once one of the largest bodies of freshwater in the US, the lake used to facilitate even steamship travel. With its return, it has reportedly submerged about 94,000 acres of farmland.
