'Golden orb' thought to be alien tech turns out to be dead cells of marine animal

Scientists solved the mystery of 'golden orb' discovered in Gulf of Alaska, which some thought was alien tech. The object found at a depth of 3,250 meters was a remnant of dead cells formed at the base of "Relicanthus daphneae", a rarely seen giant deep-sea anemone, scientists said. Sea anemones are predatory, sedentary marine invertebrates known for their flower-like appearance.
