Govt debunks AI video of Sitharaman endorsing investment scheme

PIB has warned against a fake AI-generated video of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman circulating on Facebook, falsely showing her endorsing an investment scheme promising ₹5.5 lakh weekly returns on a ₹22,000 investment. PIB said neither Sitharaman nor the government had endorsed or promoted such a scheme. It advised people to verify claims through official sources before investing.
