‘Hire and train Americans’: Vance as he backs higher H-1B visa fee

The Trump administration has proposed raising the H-1B visa fee to $103,265. Vice President JD Vance said, “If an American corporation needs workers, it should hire and train Americans.” The proposed fee would be paid when an H-1B petition is filed, in addition to existing fees. The H-1B programme is widely used by US technology companies to recruit specialised professionals.
