'I'm an old friend of India,' says new German envoy in Hindi after arriving in Delhi

New German Ambassador-Designate to India, Jasper Wieck, arrived in Delhi and said, "For me, coming to India is like coming home. Main Bharat ka poorana mitr hun [I am an old friend of India]." He said he first visited India 35 years ago. "I want to serve...as a catalyst to bring the Indo-German relationship to a new level," he added.
