US President Donald Trump told donors that he wants Vice President JD Vance to win the 2028 Presidential election, Washington Post reported. Trump has in the past publicly encouraged competition between Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for the post of US President. Six Trump allies and advisers said they are not convinced Trump has settled on Vance.
