Interest rates on small savings schemes remains unchanged for Oct-Dec

The government on Wednesday kept interest rates unchanged across all small savings schemes for the October-December quarter. It retained the rates for the tenth consecutive quarter. The Public Provident Fund (PPF) will continue to offer 7.1% interest per annum, while both the Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS) and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) will offer 8.2% per annum.
