Iranian players apply for US, Canada visas in Turkey ahead of FIFA World Cup

Iran's football team attended visa appointments in Turkey's capital, Ankara, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The entire squad applied for Canadian visas, while some players also applied for entry into the US. The World Cup will ⁠⁠be cohosted by the US, Canada and Mexico. Iran will play all three of their group-stage matches on the US West Coast.
