'Kali Mata ka roop': Army Chief about women in frontline roles

Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi said he wants women personnel in the Army to be strong officers, "maybe like Kali Mata ka roop” (the embodiment of Goddess Kali). Speaking on women in combat roles, he said, "It has to happen in sequence: first, a clear acceptability in society, and then, positions in the remaining areas like infantry and special forces."
