Karnataka launches three phase SC sub-caste survey

The Karnataka government launched a statewide survey of SC sub-castes to facilitate internal reservation. Led by Justice Nagamohan Das, the three-phase survey includes door-to-door data collection, special camps, and online self-declaration. With ₹100 crore allocated, the initiative aims to gather empirical data on 101 sub-castes, following a Supreme Court order permitting internal reservation.
