Maharaja Duleep Singh: Heartbreaking life of the last Sikh ruler
After the death of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, his five-year-old son, Duleep Singh, became ruler. His mother, Jind Kaur, served as regent. After Punjab's annexation, Duleep was dethroned, his mother exiled. Duleep, under a British surgeon's care, was converted to Christianity. He was reunited with his mother after 13-years.
