Maharashtra contractors warn of strike from April 7 over ₹96,000 cr unpaid dues

A body representing over three lakh contractors in Maharashtra has warned of a statewide strike from April 7 if the state government fails to pay their ₹96,400 crore of dues. The letter addressed to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis stated that the government has paid only ₹20,000 crore in the last 17 months. "The government has become financially crippled," it added.
