'Malhar certified' meat free from saliva contamination: Govt website on Hindu-run shops

A Maharashtra government website for registering 'jhatka' mutton and chicken shops run exclusively by Hindus provides guarantees for quality of meat. Malhar certification ensures that the meat is "fresh, clean, free from saliva contamination", says the website. It also said the meat will not be mixed with any other animal meat and will be sacrificed according to Hindu religious traditions.
