'Monkey fever' returns in Karnataka, elderly woman infected

Monkey Fever, or Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD), has resurfaced in Karnataka's Uttara Kannada district after two years. An 80-year-old woman from Mulagunda village in Siddapur taluk has tested positive. Health officials confirmed her condition is stable and said she is under treatment, while residents have been urged to remain vigilant.
