'Neelakurinji' flowers bloom in Nilgiri Hills after 12 years

In a rare event, 'Neelakurinji’ flowers have bloomed in Nilgiri Hills. The flowers bloom only once every 12 years and they can last for nearly three months. IAS officer Supriya Sahu shared visuals of the flowers on X with the caption, "It is said that Nilgiris gets its name due to the magical blue hue imparted by these stunning flowers."
