'Offering namaz on public land not a right,' rules Allahabad High Court

Allahabad High Court has said that public land cannot be used as a matter of right for offering namaz or holding large-scale religious gatherings. The court said it fell within the state regulation's scope. This comes after a resident sought protection to offer namaz on a land he claimed was private, however, UP government stated it was a public-use property.
