'Pak threat of China blocking Brahmaputra water a myth,' says Assam CM, gives reason

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said Pakistan is spinning a "manufactured threat" that China could stop Brahmaputra river's water flow to India after Indus Treaty suspension. Dismantling the myth, Himanta said Brahmaputra river grows in India, not shrinks. "China contributes only ~30-35% of Brahmaputra's total flow...remaining 65-70% is generated within India...it's a rain-fed...system," he said.
